Hotlinks

Hotlinks allows you to edit underlying data directly from mailmerge and other screens. For example, consider a mailmerge letter printed from a Review List. Much of the information on the screen is from the underlying data. With hotlinks turned on, you can edit the underlying data directly from on the screen. Any changes you make will be saved into the corresponding record in your Review List.

Note that hotlinks is currently available only if your version of Microsoft Word® is from Office 95 or earlier. If you have a newer version of Word, Publicity Assistant 2000 lets you create mailmerge documents directly in Word, providing you with substantial editing powers. Because you are no longer editing directly in Publicity Assistant 2000, the Hotlinks feature is not available.

You may turn the Hotlinks feature on and off via The Options Menu. You may also set your system to automatically use Hotlinks each time you start Publicity Assistant 20000. See User Settings for more information.
