Re-Indexing the Main Data

Re-indexing the main data will make PA2000 run more efficiently and should be done periodically. To re-index the main data all users (except the one re-indexing) must be signed out of Publicity Assistant 2000. Open Publicity Assistant 2000. In the Options Menu, click on development mode. Then select the Tools Tab. You will see that the re-indexing button has appeared. Click on re-index. Publicity Assistant will then automatically re-index your main data. Close Publicity Assistant 2000.

IMPORTANT: Re-indexing takes a few minutes so it is recommended that it be done at the beginning or end of the day and that one person in your department be held responsible for all re-indexing.
